YEYOOO :D

CAMPFIRE LAST NIGHT WAS SUPER DUPER AWESOMEEEE.  i was dancing like a retard :P and i still couldn't believe i actually was that crazy. 

Okay back to the point.  This morning we woke up early to edit our videos.  it's good that we've nearly finished all of it.  editting video is so hard )): and it's time-consuming.  we're touring around UST this afternoon. hope it's fun :D

woohooo this morning we had  a lesson on PROBLEM BASED LEARNING.  We were given a topic about the distribution of dorms in hkust.  We had 2 hours time to set our target, research (by questionaire), analyze the data and present it to others.  We interviewed only 18 people.  Some of the people weren't very nice and just ignored us.  But most of them had the patience to listen to us little babies asking them questions.  i think they feel dumb.  the presentation part wasnt as bad as i have expected; at least im satisfied.  but we still have something to improve.  for example, we need more eye contact and expressions when we talk etc. wooosh we did everything in such a rush. 

PHEW we FINALLY finished making the video.  what a relief :D and now we are TRYING to edit it using COREL.  The computer is so freaking slow and we cant really work actually.  Kareen jei jei promised that she's gonna bring her computer for us to work on tomorrow afternoon.  hope her computer will be faster. 

Tonight i heard that we are going to have a campfire thing.  hope everything goes by smoothly :D AND i hope i get to shower without queueing for so long time.  :P

This morning i couldn't hear the alarm ring and luckily my roommate heard it and went yelling "VICTORIA WAKE UPPP".  I was too sleeepy that morning.

And oh gosh, that mornign we had 2 lectures.  I NEARLY felt alseep :D. 

The first lecture was about biometrics, which is comparatively more boring to the other lecture.  Biometrics, according to my memory, was the VERIFICATION and IDENTIFICATION of a person using some kind of behavorial characteristics and enduring physical.  I just realized verification and identifiation was kind of different. I liked the part that the professor kept on pointing out the difference between these two words. She's humourous :D 

Then there was another lecture which was about RFID, which is quite interesting.  RFID is the abbrievation of Radio Frequency Identification.  It's a rather new technology.  There's a chip, as small as dust, inserted in a device, and you can track it's location.  The thing that i liked most is the video introducing RFID.  A man, wearing a black coat, was shopping in a supermarket and he put many things into the pockets of his coat.  And some other customers were staring at him apparently because he's stealing stuff.  But then at the end of the video, that man walked out of the supermarket through the sensor, and then he got a receipt.  I then realised the sensor sensed the things he put in his coat and printed a receipt for him.  Hahah i bet you don't get what i mean.  you can just youtube it ;D it's awesome. 

in the afternoon, we visited RTHK.  We walked around the studios and we even saw Jonathan Wong in one of the Live Studios :D He saw us and left quickly.  Maybe he's too shy :D or maybe we look too scary :D lolzz

After dinner, we came to the manufacturing system lab and we learnt how to use COREL to edit videos.  I just hate that COREL thingy.  I don't get why it's so complicated.  ARGG its tough :D

This morning we had to think of an idea for making the video, and we decided to modify some of the tv commercials and create a drama.  Some of the commercials include mannings and yakult.  omgg i love the mannings so much.  the little girl is so friggginggg cuteee :D 

After lunch,  we learnt how to make THIS website and the blog thingy.  And it's the first time i got to use the internet after i came to this camp.  Hahah i sneaked on facebook :D shhushh

After dinner, it was so much fun.  We went STARGAZZZZINGG :D We listened to a talk by starrix about the stars and the galaxies and the solar systems.  Basically, it was all about stars and constellations.  We were quite unfortunate that night.  Typhoon no. 3 were hoisted and the sky was very cloudy.  Most of the stars were covered up by the clouds.  The only thing we could see was the moon. lmao   *sighsighsss

Dear diary :D

Today is the first day of the camp.  After lunch, we had a lesson about physics and we had to create a model using wooden chopsticks and rubberbands.  It was fun and useful.  Then after dinner, they planned a game for us, which is somewhat like orienteering.  We had to go to checkpoint and do the thing recquired on the instruction sheet.  We had to hold each other's hands while walking.  It's a very funny experience, don't know exactly how to describe it 

At night, we slept at our rooms in Hall 1.  The room is not very spacious but at least we had the necessary furniture.
